![]() ![]() My kid though the $9 cheeseburger was the best ever. Pro tip especially for adults - wear water shoes, your feet will thank you! We did not partake in much onsite dining other than food at the waterpark as it was convenient even though it was expensive. My only wish is the water park was open a little later than 8. My 10 year old son was off and running most of the time with the other family we were traveling with. My 6 year old spent the majority of her time in the wave pool or climbing the lily pads even though she did go down a few slides. The lazy river is very small and it was shutdown briefly once because someone went number 2 in the pool - again, out of their control. They also had to shutdown the slides that go outside one night due to a thunderstorm and lightening which is obviously for safety and out of their control. There were a few times when the lesser used slides were closed likely due to staffing but it didn't really impact our fun. I was very concerned by previous comments that we would find the waterpark attractions to be limited and closed. I did overhear the arcade attendant state the points per game are less when the waterpark is open so your credits go further than after the water park closes. I bought my 10 year old extra arcade credits as that's more what he's into more so than the little kid stuff. Be prepared to be upsold on fancier wands too. Otherwise I don't know that the Dells activity passes are worth it unless you want to play MagiQuest. We got our moneys worth out of it with the other things included in the pass. The bonus is the Pup Pass includes other discounts like BOGO 50% for Build a Bear Clothes/Accessories, 25% off Oliver's Mining, 25% of Bubble Blowers, and 25% off Leather bracelets. My youngest wanted to do Build a Bear so I did buy the Pup Pass since the $32.99 bear is included. We did MagiQuest to some extent in Minneapolis, mostly just making the different things light up more so than playing the game, but we didn't have time to do so at the Dells even though we brought our wands with us. Minneapolis has some extra non-water activities like the bowling alley, ropes course, climbing wall. The Dells has a much larger waterpark that Minneapolis. We previously stayed at the Minneapolis GWL two years ago for three nights. GWL is geared toward younger kids but the waterpark has enough to keep bigger kids entertained. I didn't really notice all the "run down" comments others have but this was our first time so I don't know what it was like previously. I actually prefer the texting service to get fresh towels and have other questions answered as it is highly convenient. There was some dust on the nightstand but otherwise our room was sufficiently clean and spacious. The beds aren't the best but I've slept in much worse too. I actually slept in the non-bunk bed in the cabin as my husband and I don't sleep well together in anything less than a King bed. We splurged on a Kids Cabin Suite as they are only little for so long and its exciting for them. There is no shortage of things to do in the area: explore popular parks such as Wisconsin Deer Park and Timbavati Wildlife Park.įirst time visitors to Wisconsin Dells GWL for two nights with our kids ages 10 and 6. While staying in Wisconsin Dells, you can check out a popular barbeque restaurant like Buffalo Phil's Pizza & Grille, which is serving up some great dishes. Given the close proximity to Big Chief Go Karts (2.7 mi), guests of Great Wolf Wisconsin Dells can easily experience one of Wisconsin Dells' most popular landmarks. For travelers arriving by car, free parking is available. Guests of Great Wolf Lodge are also welcome to enjoy a pool and a lounge, located on site. ![]() On a similar note, while I'm glad they didn't have more of them because what they had was bad, I can count around 4 or 5 things clearly built up to be bosses that ended up not being anything at all, and it was so awkward watching these things turn out that way. Ary and the Secret of Seasons launches in September 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It's clearly a case of an indie game not having enough budget, manpower, and/or time (maybe all three), and it's a shame because they had some good ideas for how to construct a Zelda dungeon. Ary and the Secret of Seasons is an award-winning adventure game following a young girl named Aryelle, or Ary, as she journeys across the great world of Valdi. Set in the world of Valdi, you play as the titular Ary as she tries to save the world from chaos as the seasons are being disrupted. I figured maybe he got home, but nope, going home does nothing (and despite "fixing everything", winter town is still summer?). Ary and the Secret of Seasons will be releasing on September 1, but I was granted access to a preview build of the action-platformer that will grant players control over the seasons to overcome obstacles. They seem to imply that one thing is your brother, but that's actually you from the future, and then the game tells you to go home. it opens with "what happened to my brother" and continues to ask that question repeatedly and NEVER ANSWERS IT. The characters suck, the writing sucks, and the game feels genuinely unfinished. Plus the story is bad with a nonsensical time travel twist that isn't really implied beforehand and just sorta happens. and they're the actual focus of the game. ![]() By contrast, Ary and the Secret of Seasons is. Oops, that's how long it took for me to get to them. Those games may have borrowed their aesthetic from Zelda, but as far as gameplay went, they were middling at best. But unfortunately that's all the game has going for it, all four dungeons combined take up about 2 and a half hours. they're genuinely very good for the most part, I enjoyed them, even despite the two bad boss fights and the two non-bosses. I was about to drop the game when it got to the first of the four main dungeons. The entire time before that is a lot of filler overworld, three overly large towns with nonsense layouts and nothing to do in them, a pretty good 10 minute mini dungeon, and a lame cinematic linear "dungeon" that took about 5 minutes. 2 and a half hours were spent getting to the four main dungeons. Ary and the Secret of Seasons is a 3D action adventure game by independent game developer studios eXiin and Fishing Cactus. Absolutely awful pacing akin to Skyloft, the game said I finished it in 5 hours and 59 minutes. but this game has more in common with Skyward Sword than Oracle of Seasons. In this final installment of a four-part series, Aaron creates a Rockwellian guide for you to enjoy the changing of each season. This game wants very much to be Zelda, and its primary inspiration is pretty obvious. ![]() Always coming in new, always growing and changing, and always moving on. The frogs is part of it, and the bugs, and the fish, and the wood thrush, too. Like all magnificent things, it’s very simple.Įverything’s a wheel, turning and turning, never stopping. You don’t have to live forever, you just have to live. You got to take what comes.ĭon’t be afraid of death be afraid of an unlived life. Life’s got to be lived, no matter how long or short. Lastly, below are quotes that I like from the book! Even though, there might be people wanting to live forever but in the end they would want to go through the afterlife. Moreover, the main message of this book was that everyone will go through life and death because that’s the natural cycle of life. Also, the character Winnie Foster showed such sophistication for a ten-year-old girl!
